I grew up in LA, home of Hollywood stars, so I was very aware of the beautiful people! I still remember my first make up - my Mom gave me a palette of Maybelline eye shadows one Christmas. It was a rite of passage!

I was blessed with great bone structure, but my brown eyes are framed by sparse eye lashes and very thin eyebrows, so eye makeup is a must for my eyes to come alive. Because of years in the California sun, I won't leave home without sunscreen, even on cloudy days. I top it off with my favorite foundation, Elizabeth Arden's Flawless Finish Dual Perfection Makeup (you gotta love a product with "Perfection" in the title). It covers evenly and you can apply it dry or with a wet sponge.

Once the canvas is set, I focus on my eyes. I like Borghese's cocoa cream quad and use a wet brush to line my eyes and brows with the dark shade. Lately, I've experimented with Clinique's mauve shadow. To plump up my lashes, I like Clinique's High Impact Mascara in black. Though I may try a dark blue shade - I'm told blue makes brown eyes pop. Pop is good! Clinique's mascara looks great and comes off easily with face cleanser. I never use waterproof mascara - it's too hard on my lashes.

I'm almost done: the next step is blush, Mocha Pink by Clinique.

Finally, I never leave home without lipstick. I always start with Neutrogena lip gloss then top off with color. I love color, especially red. I'm lucky that my darker complexion goes well with red. Sadly, Clinique discontinued my favorite shade, Tabasco. So, I've turned to Angel Red.

COLORS:
Lots of black, but brown is the new black, so I switch back and forth. I love vibrant, rich tones, so I gravitate to purple, ruby red, gold, emerald green, sapphire.

LIKES:
I love the outdoors. Hiking in the mountains, walking on the beach or working in the garden (I get a kick out of pulling weeds) all bring me great joy.
Cooking for and entertaining friends.
People who treat others with dignity and respect.
Laughter!

DISLIKES:
People who are self absorbed and act as though they're entitled.
People who litter, smoke, yell at others or mistreat animals.
