:: Meet the Chicks: Tammy Faye ::

I never walk out of the door without my makeup (unless it’s to the gym, of course). Even a short trip to Walgreen’s deserves full makeup coverage! Although I’m in my mid-forties, the time it takes to “put on my face” is worth my kids’ teenage friends thinking I’m at least worthy of their attention. But, I’ve always been like this. I wouldn’t dream of even going to a 7:40 class in college without my makeup. It all begins with a strong base of mineral makeup (a different color pallet for each season to get that natural look), under eye concealer, eye shadow (above andbelow the lids), eye pencil, mascara (top lids only – no smudges for this Tammy Faye), blush, lipstick and just the right amount of gloss.

You might think this takes hours, but I have it down to a science now and can accomplish the transformation in under 30 minutes. You’ll find my secrets in upcoming editions of 6chicks.com.

I love Goldie Hawn in “First Wives Club” because God forbid if anyone ever knew her real age. What’s a little Botox among friends?

COLORS:
Bold are best – purple (I’m not afraid to wear purple eyeliner ever!), gold, red, rusts
and oranges.

LIKES:
I LOVE anything that will enhance my looks, particularly if it makes me look younger. Spas are my idea of a fabulous vacation and I’ll cancel anything to make sure I’m available for routine manicures, pedicures as well as hair color and cuts. These also are essential items in my budget (who really cares about groceries anyway).

DISLIKES:
Ungroomed people – male or female.

Goldie Hawn
Renee Russo (didn’t she look oh so hot in “Thomas Crowne Affair”)

COSMETICS:
I am a MAC addict. I go to the counter at least monthly to buy all the new shades, glosses and makeup bags. I definitely am a product freak.
